A Review of Local Thrombolytic Therapy


Abstract
From early 1980' local thrombolytic therapy for peripheral occlusive vascular disease has assumed an increasingly important role in the nonsurgical treatment of vascular disease over the last several years as it increases the applicability of
other
percutaneous revascularization techniques in patients with vascular disease. It has also become an important means of managing the thrombotic and embolic complications of angioplasty and therefore must be considered an essential component of the
practicing interventionalist's techniques. Nowadays. various thrombolytic agents. Therapeutic regimens are applying to treat peripheral vascular thrombotic disease by many authors. So we review the principles and methods of thrombolytic therapy
briefly.
